Whenever I rearrange the accessories in my home, I usually use books to help change things up. Decorating with books is an easy, inexpensive way to add a punch of texture and color. Finding books at yard sales, second-hand stores or the library used book room is one of my favorite things to do. Old books have such great personality.

I don’t know about you, but I am more than ready for Spring. I’m ready for yard sale season to begin along with longer {and warmer} days, more green, more sunshine and extra pops of color in my home decor.
When I’m out thrifting or yard sale-ing, I am always on the look out for old items that I can use in my home. Decorating with second-hand pieces adds so much character, depth and texture as well. I’ve been asked in the past how I find neat items and the honest truth is that sometimes you just have to dig for it. Other times, it’s just a waiting game.
